President Trump defended Press Secretary Katie Zacharia amid media scrutiny, calling the treatment "very unfair" and describing reporters as "truly nasty people."

Trump told Zacharia she doesn't need the job and suggested she reconsider, citing her family. "You got a beautiful husband and family. Beautiful kids," he said, adding he met them yesterday.

He plans to speak with her after his Georgia rally but made clear he won't fire her. Trump noted he's watched Zacharia on television for years and called her "very nice."
