Strive ($ASST) Just Added 3,311 #BTC in One Week — But There’s More to the Story 👀
Between October 5 and 9, Strive purchased 3,311 Bitcoin at an average price of around $84,500 per BTC, including fees.
That pushed its total Bitcoin reserves from 29,462 BTC to 32,773 BTC — an impressive 11.24% increase in just one week. 📈
But the BTC purchases aren't the only numbers worth looking at.
According to Strive’s October 13 SEC filing, its effective common shares outstanding increased from approximately 100.94 million to 110.39 million, representing growth of around 9.36%.
Here's why that matters:
Bitcoin holdings grew faster than the effective common share count. This suggests that Strive increased its Bitcoin exposure per effective common share during the period.
So, how is Strive funding its Bitcoin strategy?
The company uses capital-market financing, including its SATA perpetual preferred stock, alongside other financing activities. Its cash balance also rose from $284.7 million to $310.3 million.
The strategy is straightforward: raise capital, buy more Bitcoin, and aim to increase BTC exposure per share.
However, there's an important risk investors shouldn't ignore. 👇
More Bitcoin on the balance sheet doesn't automatically translate into better stock performance. Share dilution, financing costs, BTC price movements, and the market valuation of the company can all influence shareholder returns.
With its holdings now above 32,000 BTC, Strive is becoming a more significant player in the corporate Bitcoin space.
The key question is not simply how much Bitcoin Strive can accumulate.
Can it continue growing Bitcoin exposure per share while keeping the cost of financing under control?
That's the metric I'd be watching closely.
