Who would have thought even cold wallets might not be safe? 👀 Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès reportedly found a hidden spy chip inside a sealed Ledger wallet. The device was allegedly designed to capture the 24-word recovery phrase and send it to attackers. Here's the catch: Ledger's Genuine Check confirms that the device contains an authentic security chip. But it can't detect every physical modification, a limitation Ledger itself acknowledges. So who's responsible? Some blame buyers. Yet Ledger recommends authorized resellers, including official stores on Amazon, Shopee, and Lazada. Personally, I'd still buy directly from Ledger or an authorized reseller, verify the device, and never use a wallet with a pre-written recovery phrase. But even these precautions can't guarantee complete protection. And that's what concerns me most: how can we fully trust a device designed to protect our $BTC if we can't be sure what's inside? Would you still trust your hardware wallet? 👇 #BTC Price Analysis# #Ledger
