Ledger is investigating reported fund losses after confirming that one affected user's device contained an unauthorized hardware implant. Customers in South East Asia reported losing funds last week after buying from CryptoBilis, a vendor based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Blockchain investigator Specter said $86 million had been drained from devices, but Ledger would not confirm the amount lost. Ledger said on Sunday that the number of affected products was limited and that Ledger was working with relevant authorities. Ledger advised customers who bought from CryptoBilis not to set up their devices.
