🚨 AI COULD THREATEN CRYPTO SECURITY BEFORE QUANTUM?

Vitalik Buterin just raised a security question crypto traders should not ignore.

His concern:
AI may accelerate mathematical discoveries enough to weaken some cryptographic systems much faster than expected.

That includes:
⚠️ ECDSA — used to secure Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets
⚠️ Lattice-based cryptography — widely viewed as part of the post-quantum future

Ethereum researcher Justin Drake even warned that, in a worst-case scenario, AI-assisted mathematics could uncover dangerous shortcuts in months rather than years.

But this is important:
❌ Bitcoin and Ethereum have NOT been broken
❌ There is no confirmed ECDSA attack today
❌ Vitalik says users should NOT rush wallet migrations

Coinbase cryptography chief Yehuda Lindell says there is currently "no evidence whatsoever" that elliptic-curve security assumptions are close to failing.

Ethereum is already preparing long term: its roadmap is moving toward hash-based, post-quantum security, with structured upgrades targeting roughly 2029.

My takeaway:
This is not a "sell everything" headline.
It is a reminder that crypto's next major battle may not be price — it may be security infrastructure.

AI threat or overblown FUD? 👀
