• Hyperliquid's reserve yield could fund 5,684 daily HYPE token buybacks

  • Andrew Tate transferred $1.87 million worth of HYPE to Binance.

  • Buyback demand and potential selling pressure may shape HYPE's price direction.

Hyperliquid — HYPE, holders received fresh reasons for optimism and caution this week. Hyperliquid has opened a new path for token buybacks through Circle reserve yield. That development could create steady demand for HYPE over time. At the same moment, Andrew Tate transferred a large HYPE position to Binance. Such a move has sparked speculation across the market. Traders now weigh growing buyback potential against possible profit-taking from major holders.

Hyperliquid has introduced a mechanism that redirects Circle reserve yield toward HYPE buybacks. The arrangement sends all AQA-generated yield from a $6.07 billion treasury back to Hyperliquid. The numbers are hard to ignore. A 3% interest rate assumption generates about $498,580 in daily purchasing power. With HYPE valued near $88, that amount could buy roughly 5,684 tokens every day. Such activity could increase current burn rates by around 25%.

That change would strengthen long-term supply reduction efforts. The model also grows alongside Circle reserves. Additional deposits increase available yield. More yield creates greater capacity for future token burns. For investors, this development introduces a recurring source of market demand. Unlike temporary campaigns, reserve income provides an ongoing flow of capital. That structure improves HYPE's token economy and supports deflationary goals.

Momentum has already shifted from theory to execution. Hyperliquid's System Interest Address confirmed receipt of the first AQAv2 Reserve Payment. Data shows $14.58 million in USDC has been generated through this process. However, only $2 has reached the Assistance Fund so far. More than $14.58 million still awaits transfer from the reserve account.

Tate Transfer Raises Questions About Future Selling Activity

While buyback discussions gained attention, Andrew Tate's wallet activity shifted market focus. Tate transferred 20,950 HYPE tokens to Binance. The transaction carried an estimated value of $1.87 million. A deposit does not automatically signal a sale. Still, traders often monitor exchange transfers closely. Large movements can influence sentiment, especially after strong price appreciation.

Attention now centers on Tate's remaining holdings. Reports indicate roughly 63,550 HYPE, worth about $5.62 million, remains outside exchanges. That balance gives several options moving forward. Additional deposits could increase concerns about future selling pressure. Holding those tokens off exchanges would likely ease such fears. Lookonchain data shows Tate has already realized more than $7.24 million in profits from previous HYPE sales.

Those gains highlight the rewards enjoyed by early participants who entered below $4.48. As a result, HYPE faces competing market forces. Hyperliquid's buyback strategy could generate sustained demand. At the same time, profitable holders may choose to lock in gains. For now, traders should watch both developments carefully. Progress on AQAv2-funded buybacks could strengthen market support.
