Trump slammed protesters for vandalizing the National Mall, saying "only sick people do that" and claiming authorities have photos of those responsible.
He said vandals destroyed newly installed grass at the Reflecting Pool with toxic chemicals. The area required replacement with 200 loads of fresh topsoil and new turf.
Trump called the site "as vandal proof as you can get" following the restoration work.
