$BTC $ETH $SOL 🚀 BTC, ETH & SOL — Today’s Crypto Market Update

October 5, 2026 | Market Analysis

The crypto market is showing a cautiously positive tone today, with Bitcoin recovering toward the $86,000 area while Ethereum and Solana are also trading higher. Softer-than-expected U.S. jobs data has supported risk assets, although elevated Treasury yields and inflation concerns remain important risks for crypto.

🟠 Bitcoin (BTC) — Momentum Building, But Resistance Is Close

Bitcoin is trading around $85,900, after reaching almost $87,000 earlier today. The key question for traders is whether BTC can finally establish a sustained move above the $87,000–$87,500 resistance zone.

A successful breakout with strong spot buying could shift momentum toward $90,000. However, repeated rejection around $87K would keep BTC inside a consolidation range and could trigger another pullback.

BTC levels to watch

Resistance: $87,000–$87,500

Breakout target: $90,000

Near support: $84,000–$85,000

Risk zone: Below $84,000

Institutional demand is also worth watching. Recent Bitcoin ETF inflows have improved, providing an additional potential source of support for the market.

BTC outlook: 🟢 Cautiously bullish above $85K; stronger bullish confirmation above $87.5K.

🔵 Ethereum (ETH) — Buyers Defending the $2.7K Area

Ethereum is trading around the $2,700 region and is showing improving short-term momentum. The $2,700 area is psychologically important, and holding above it could encourage buyers to challenge higher resistance.

ETH also has an important fundamental catalyst ahead: Ethereum's next major upgrade is expected to enter its first public test network on October 6. This could increase attention and volatility around ETH in the near term.

ETH levels to watch

Resistance: $2,750–$2,800

Upside target: $3,000+

Support: $2,600–$2,650

Key psychological level: $2,700

ETH outlook: 🟢 Positive while price holds above the $2,600–$2,650 support area.

🟣 Solana (SOL) — Altcoin Strength Remains in Focus

Solana is trading around $121–$122, with the current market showing modest positive momentum. CoinGecko currently lists SOL around $121.46, with a 24-hour range of approximately $120.04–$122.21.

The immediate technical battle is around $122–$123. A clean breakout could open the door toward $125 and potentially $130.

However, traders should watch Solana investment flows. Spot SOL ETF inflows remained positive for the week ending October 2, but the weekly total dropped sharply to about $2.4 million, compared with $188 million the previous week.

SOL levels to watch

Resistance: $122–$123

Targets: $125 → $130

Support: $120

Major support: $116–$117

SOL outlook: 🟢 Bullish above $120, with stronger confirmation above $123.

📊 Overall Market View

The three major assets currently have a similar structure: buyers are attempting to regain control, but major resistance levels remain nearby.

BTC: 🟢 Cautiously Bullish

ETH: 🟢 Bullish above $2.6K

SOL: 🟢 Bullish above $120

The broader market could receive another boost if BTC breaks above $87,500 and holds it as support. On the other hand, failure to break resistance combined with higher yields or weaker risk sentiment could cause a short-term correction.

Citigroup recently raised its 12-month forecasts for Bitcoin and Ether to $113,000 and $3,028, respectively, citing stronger crypto activity, macro conditions and renewed ETF inflows. These are forecasts—not guarantees—and should not be treated as price targets with certainty.

🎯 Trader’s Watchlist

BTC → $87K breakout

ETH → $2.7K hold / $2.8K breakout

SOL → $123 breakout / $120 support

The most important signal today is confirmation, not simply a temporary move above resistance. Traders should watch volume, spot demand and BTC’s ability to hold breakout levels
