The US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned three people and two charities over allegations that the network moved more than $2 million to Hamas. Treasury said the network used deceptive charitable organizations and cryptocurrency channels over multiple years. The sanctioned charities are Association Baraka and Ensemble C Mieux. The Justice Department also unsealed charges against Saleem al-Zaq and announced six arrests tied to the network on the same day. Treasury did not specify how much of the total funding moved through cryptocurrency.
