Altcoin Trading Volume Just Hit Nearly 4x Bitcoin Is Altseason Getting Stronger?
Altcoin spot trading volume has climbed to nearly four times Bitcoin's volume, reaching its highest level since September 2025.
Glassnode data also shows 72.5% of tracked altcoins outperformed $BTC through September 23, compared with just 39% during the August rally.
Here's what I'm watching now:
1. Spot demand is getting stronger: More of the move is being driven by direct buying, while altcoin futures leverage has stayed mostly unchanged.
2. ETF flows are supporting the trend: Ethereum ETFs posted six straight days of inflows, while $XRP ETFs extended their inflow streak to 11 weeks.
