$NEAR gets its first spot ETF in the US
Bitwise has launched the Bitwise NEAR ETF on NYSE Arca. It's the first spot NEAR ETP in the US, and it comes with a clear thesis: Al agents will need their own settlement layer.
The fund gives investors exposure to NEAR and to staking. Bitwise plans to stake the fund's NEAR in-house, targeting the network's average staking rewards of about 5%. The management fee is 0.75%.
Bitwise is betting on NEAR's growth figures:
• NEAR Intents has processed more than $32B in volume, up from under $1B a year ago
• Transactions finalize in about 1.2 seconds and cost a fraction of a cent
• The network has run for six years with 100% uptime
• The entire supply is unlocked, and inflation was recently halved to 2.5%
"As Al agents start transacting on our behalf, the world is going to need settlement infrastructure that's fast, trustworthy, and doesn't depend on a single custodian," said Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan.
NRR also extends Bitwise's NEAR offering from Europe, where its BaFin-approved staking ETP already trades, into the US. It joins Bitwise's single-asset lineup alongside $BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and HYPE.
