Grass published a new strategic update on September 28 outlining how the network plans to expand beyond supplying training data to AI companies.

Grass wants to address this by allowing AI systems to retrieve information directly from the public internet during inference.
The roadmap describes three major developments.
First, a Contents API designed to let AI applications retrieve and render public webpages through Grass’s distributed network.
Second, a Search API intended to help AI systems discover relevant information across the web.
Third, multimodal data access covering information beyond ordinary text, including video, images and documents.
These products are part of the project’s stated development plans, not necessarily fully launched services.
