"Binance Sets Estimated Dividend Adjustment for SAMSUNGUSDT TradFi Perpetual Contract

According to the announcement from Binance, the estimated dividend amount for the SAMSUNGUSDT TradFi perpetual contract has not yet been finalized, so Binance will use an estimation methodology to calculate the dividend payout for traders holding net positions on the ex-dividend date, 2026-09-29 08:00 (Korea Standard Time). The estimated dividend adjustment amount for SAMSUNGUSDT is 4,500 won per share. Binance said the figure is indicative only and may be lower or higher than the actual dividend amount announced by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. If the final dividend amount differs from the estimate, Binance will reconcile the difference within a week after the actual amount is finalized and announced. The announcement also stated that the dividend adjustment amount" means that Binance will apply a temporary dividend-related cash adjustment to eligible SAMSUNGUSDT TradFi Perpetual positions at 08:00 KST on September 29, 2026, Samsung’s ex-dividend date.

Because Samsung’s final dividend has not yet been confirmed, Binance is using an estimate of KRW 4,500 per share for the initial adjustment. This is not a final dividend announcement and can change once Samsung Electronics confirms the actual amount.

In practical terms, the adjustment is designed to reflect the economic effect of a stock dividend in a perpetual contract: holders of net long positions may receive an adjustment, while holders of net short positions may pay an adjustment, subject to Binance’s contract rules. If the final dividend differs from the estimate, Binance says it will correct the difference within one week after the official amount is announced.

The dividend adjustment is separate from regular funding and is not limited by the funding-rate cap or floor, so it could be larger than ordinary funding-related amounts.
