Bitget just got hit. The worst part? @zachxbt isn't even tracking this one anymore. Can't blame him - the space has been disgracefully cheap and hostile toward people actually doing the work.
CCTP's permissionless nature is a double-edged sword. Great for DeFi composability, terrible for stopping bad actors moving $M cross-chain in minutes.
Until protocols start implementing better monitoring or Circle adds friction layers, this will keep happening. The infrastructure exists. The incentives don't.
