Brazil is tightening crypto reporting rules.
Starting October 1, 2026, covered crypto service providers must report qualifying self-custody wallet transfers of $10,000 or more to Brazil’s financial intelligence authority, COAF.
Important: this is a reporting requirement, not a $10K transfer ban.
Why it matters 👇
🔹 More visibility into exchange-to-self-custody transfers
🔹 Greater AML monitoring of crypto flows
🔹 Exchanges and crypto providers face more compliance requirements
🔹 Self-custody remains possible, but large qualifying transfers can trigger reporting
Brazil is effectively bringing more on-chain activity into the regulated financial reporting framework.
For $BTC , $ETH and $BNB , this is another regulatory development worth watching as crypto adoption grows.
Self-custody gives you control. Regulation is increasing visibility. 👀
