🇺🇸 Why Are Trump and Brian Armstrong Getting Blamed for CLARITY’s Failure? Now that the CLARITY Act has failed to advance, Washington and the $BTC crypto industry have moved on to the next stage: figuring out who deserves the blame. Two names keep coming up - for different reasons: 🔴 Trump → the ethics fight Democrats had spent months pushing for stronger limits around government officials’ crypto interests, with Trump’s own crypto businesses becoming the most visible point of contention. Even after he accepted additional restrictions, several Democrats said the final protections still didn’t go far enough. 🔵 Armstrong → the industry fight Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong opposed an earlier January draft, arguing that its treatment of DeFi, tokenization, CFTC authority and stablecoin rewards could hurt the industry. He now says the WSJ is preparing a story blaming Coinbase (and him personally), for helping derail the bill. His defense is straightforward: those issues were later changed, and he says he strongly supported the final Senate draft. So the 2 arguments aren’t really the same: → Trump’s crypto interests were part of the actual Senate ethics dispute. → Armstrong’s influence is about how aggressively Coinbase shaped the bill before it reached the floor. → Banking groups were also fighting provisions around stablecoin rewards, adding another layer to the negotiations. 💭 Which is probably why I wouldn’t look for one person who k1lled CLARITY. The bill failed because several fights /ethics, stablecoin rewards, regulatory authority and politics/ all ended up colliding at the same vote. #BTC Price Analysis# #Macro Insights# #Altcoin Season#
