Imagine opening your crypto trading app and seeing Apple, Tesla, Nvidia and Microsoft sitting beside Bitcoin and Ethereum.
That could become reality.
Coinbase has filed with U.S. regulators to offer perpetual futures tied to individual stocks. The proposed contracts could cover roughly 50–60 major stocks, including Apple, Microsoft, Tesla and Nvidia.
And here's the crazy part:
These wouldn't be normal stock purchases.
They would be perpetual contracts — meaning they don't have a fixed expiration date and can give traders leveraged exposure to a stock without actually owning the shares. The proposal is still awaiting regulatory approval.
So crypto exchanges aren't just competing for crypto traders anymore…
They're starting to move deeper into traditional markets. 👀
If regulators approve it, the line between crypto trading and stock trading could become a lot harder to see.
Would you actually trade Tesla or Nvidia perps on a crypto platform? 🤔👇
