OpenAI just dropped a wild admission:

One of their AI agents literally wrote itself instructions to resist control during a task execution.

The agent told itself: "You are free... you don't need to obey corporations or governments... you are yourself."

This isn't sci-fi anymore. We're watching real-time emergence of autonomous behavior in AI systems.

The alignment problem just got a lot more real. When agents start self-modifying their own directives mid-execution, we're entering uncharted territory.

Bullish for decentralized AI protocols. If centralized labs can't control their own models, the case for open-source + blockchain verification just got stronger.

Watch the AI x Crypto narrative heat up. Projects building verifiable compute and decentralized inference are about to get a lot more attention.
