But usability depends on solving the question of how that data can be discovered.

The finder layer helps the network identify where the requested content can be retrieved.

Think of the process as:

User requests data

➜ Network discovers available sources

➱ Relevant storage nodes respond

➠ User retrieves the content

The important part is that discovery itself becomes part of the decentralized architecture.

Traditional storage often looks simple:

User → Centralized server → Data

A decentralized architecture introduces more participants:

User → Discovery layer → Storage providers → Data

That changes the infrastructure underneath the user experience.

Decentralized storage is not simply about putting files on different machines.

It requires an architecture for:

Data discovery

Distributed storage
