Dogecoin has the community. What it seems to lack is ETF demand.
Three U.S. $DOGE ETFs have attracted just over $12M in cumulative net inflows since launching, while XRP funds have pulled in roughly $1.7B and Solana funds about $1.36B.
The weakness is persistent. Across 199 trading days, the DOGE funds recorded positive net inflows on just 28 days, while 166 days had zero net flow.
Even a 30%+ DOGE rally in late August barely changed the picture. Over the latest 20 sessions, XRP and $SOL funds attracted nearly $190.5M and $199M respectively, while DOGE products saw a small net withdrawal.
Now Bitwise is closing its BWOW Dogecoin ETF after less than a year, with just ~$688K in assets.
The bigger issue may be the investment thesis. DOGE has already been easy to access, so an ETF needs to offer investors more than simply another way to buy its price.
