Pumpfun Copied Zora?

When $PUMP announced Custom Pairs, plenty of people treated the idea like a completely new launchpad primitive.

Distribution shapes who receives credit, even when someone else reached the idea earlier - *cough $ZORA cough*

The market remembers the loudest announcement more easily than the earliest product.

I would find that frustrating as a builder.

I would also see it as an enormous signal.

Zora already had Custom Pairs live, with more than 4,000 pairs created before PumpFun adopted the same name and underlying concept.

Call it inspiration if you want.

From where I’m sitting, it looks very close to Pump copying the homework and presenting it to the larger class.

The bullish part is that Zora’s thesis is now being validated by a much louder platform.

Its new CEO has already promised more communication, renewed community incentives, and a return to stronger distribution.

That is exactly what this moment requires.

Zora does not need to invent a new story.

It needs to claim the story it was already building and make sure people know where Custom Pairs gained traction first.

If the leadership reset fixes that visibility gap, the platform could finally receive attention closer to the level of its product activity.

The next phase should be considerably louder.
