A breakout is not confirmed just because price moves above resistance.

2. This is often called a false breakout.
3. Look for a convincing candle close above the level.

5. Retesting the broken resistance can provide confirmation.
6. If the retest holds, the old resistance may become support.
7. Momentum indicators can add additional context.
8. Never chase a large green candle blindly.
9. Plan your entry, invalidation, and risk before trading.
10. Confirmation beats excitement.
