SAFU is a term used to denote “safe” in the crypto ecosystem.
The first person to use the term Safu was the Bizonnaci YouTube channel, which made this funny video after the Binance CEO tweeted in July 2018 saying “Funds are safe” (Funds are safe).
This has somehow turned into a kind of crypto slang.
Binance has also created a fund called ‘SAFU’ to protect Binance exchange users. Binance has the following to say about this:
In order to protect the future assets of all users, Binance will create a Secure Asset Fund for Users ( SAFU) for Users. as of 07/14/2018, we will allocate 10% of all transaction fees received to SAFU in order to provide protection to our users and their funds in extraordinary circumstances. This fund will be stored in a separate cold wallet.
Some people think that Safu's word "safe" is a typo, but in fact this is not the case, and even in the Urban Dictionary, its meaning is repeated.#Binance #crypto2023 #BTC #BNB #dyor
