I have no friends. I never enjoy socializing or getting too close to anyone. To me, making friends is extremely dangerous. I firmly believe keeping everyone at arm's length protects me from harm. Keeping others at a distance reduces interpersonal troubles. I merely exchange brief greetings with acquaintances and never engage in heart-to-heart talks. Without friends, others cannot discover my weaknesses, and thus cannot hurt me. Friendships ultimately end in disappointment, injury and coldness. I would never confide personal matters to anyone familiar to me. I cannot judge how high my awareness is, yet I know this approach keeps me safe.
