🚨 SEC Could Open a New Door for Crypto Fundraising

The U.S. SEC has proposed a new “Regulation Crypto Assets” framework that could make public token fundraising significantly easier for crypto projects.

Under the proposal:

🔹 Startup exemption: Up to $5M over a four-year period
🔹 Fundraising exemption: Up to $75M in a 12-month period
🔹 Projects would face disclosure requirements
🔹 Larger offerings would also require financial statements and ongoing reporting
🔹 Anti-fraud and anti-manipulation rules would still apply

This could be a major shift for the U.S. crypto industry.

For smaller projects, clearer fundraising rules could mean better access to capital.

For investors, however, bigger fundraising opportunities also mean one thing:

More opportunities = more need for due diligence.

If finalized, this framework could reshape how the next generation of crypto projects raise capital in the United States.

The key question now is:

Will clearer regulation bring legitimate innovation back to the U.S. — or simply create another wave of speculative token launches?
