TSMC just paid out another round of profit sharing — and the AI boom is literally showing up in paychecks.
Q2 bonuses hit NT$36 billion (~$1.13B), up over 50% year-over-year. First-half total: NT$70.35 billion (~$2.2B), up 54.3%.
Those checks came off a record quarter: $40.2B revenue, NT$706.56B net profit (+77.4%), NT$27.25 per share. HPC, IoT, auto, and consumer all contributed.
Half the annual bonus pays after each quarter. The other half comes post-AGM.
Profit is rising faster than bonuses because more earnings are being funneled into sustainability capex in Taiwan. Still, this raise beats last year's 30% bump.
This is what a sold-out leading-edge fab looks like on the ground. The same capacity tightness lifting wafer ASPs is turning into cash in employee accounts.
When the cycle is real, it shows up in the bonus pool.
