China Pacific Insurance reported first-half 2026 net profit of 30.775 billion yuan, up 10.4% year on year, and said it will pay its first interim dividend of 0.42 yuan per share, totaling about 4.041 billion yuan, according to Jiemian News. The insurer's operating profit rose 6.2% to 21.149 billion yuan, while total operating revenue increased 5.8% to 212.136 billion yuan.
The company said its life insurance unit posted new business value growth of 12.7% to 10.758 billion yuan, with first-half regular-premium new business from participating products jumping 168% to 65.7 billion yuan. Property insurance underwriting profit rose 35.7% to 4.817 billion yuan, and its combined ratio improved 1.3 percentage points to 95.0%.
China Pacific Insurance also said assets under management exceeded 4 trillion yuan for the first time, reaching 4.0808 trillion yuan at the end of June. Its total investment return rate was 2.4% in the first half, net investment return rate was 1.5%, and comprehensive investment return rate was 1.8%.
