Charles Schwab is expanding its direct crypto lineup beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, with $SOL , Avalanche and Chainlink set to become available on Schwab Crypto in the coming months.

The brokerage confirmed the three planned additions on Thursday, five months after beginning the rollout of direct $BTC and ETH trading. Schwab said SOL, AVAX and LINK were selected as established crypto assets that align with client demand, while additional cryptocurrencies are planned over time.

The expansion puts three major altcoins inside a brokerage serving 39.9 million active accounts and $13.04 trillion in client assets as of July 31.

Schwab Moves Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum

Schwab Crypto began rolling out in May after the brokerage first detailed its spot crypto launch in April. Bitcoin and Ethereum remain the only assets currently available, with SOL, AVAX and LINK scheduled to follow rather than already being live.

Clients can trade crypto alongside stocks and other investments through Schwab.com, Schwab Mobile and thinkorswim. Schwab Crypto accounts are offered through Charles Schwab Premier Bank, while Paxos provides sub-custody and trade execution infrastructure.

The platform charges 75 basis points, or 0.75%, on the dollar value of each trade. Accounts are currently available across the U.S. except New York and Louisiana, with no access in U.S. territories or international jurisdictions.
