First time jobless claims have decreased to 203k, coming in lower than the projected 208k as well as the previous figure of 207k, which had been revised upward from an original 206k. Looking at continuing claims, the total now stands at 1.778M. This is a drop compared to the anticipated 1.792M and the preceding count of 1.796M, which was itself revised downward from 1.799M.
