$ATOM is down 2.3% on the day while cosmos labs is out here telling EVM chains to halt their validators.

the trigger was the KiiChain exploit, 148M KII gone, plus attacks on TAC. and the response wasn't "one chain patches a bug." cosmos labs urged multiple EVM chains to stop producing blocks at the same time. that points at shared code in the cosmos EVM layer, not a one-off.

the fanbase reply is coming and it isn't wrong: the hub itself wasn't touched, IBC kept moving, your staked ATOM is fine. all true.

but the whole pitch this cycle was "bring your EVM app to cosmos." a coordinated emergency halt across chains is the worst possible ad for that, landing right when builders are picking where to deploy. and Cosmostation, one of the oldest wallets in this ecosystem, just said it's closing its non-custodial wallet on September 1. none of it is fatal. all of it is a bad week stacked high.

right now $ATOM trades at $1.5, with the 24h range between $1.48 and $1.57. my read: while it stays under $1.57 i think this leaks lower and retests $1.48, and losing that opens more downside. if it reclaims $1.57 i'm wrong on this, there's nothing to defend, and anyone short from here is offside fast.

so which one: reclaim $1.57, or lose $1.48?
