A Bitcoin wallet that had been dormant since 2012 has suddenly transferred its entire 40 $BTC balance.
Galaxy Research said the coins were received on May 28, 2012, when Bitcoin traded near $5.
The holdings were worth roughly $200 at the time they were received. Fourteen years later, those same coins were worth about $3.14 million.
The recipient was identified as Boerse Stuttgart Digital, although the sender remains unattributed.
