Avalanche Treasury approves $10M share buyback after $44.7M quarterly loss
Avalanche Treasury Corp. authorized a $10 million Class A share-repurchase program after reporting a $44.7 million net loss for the second quarter of 2026.
About $35.7 million of the loss was tied to its $AVAX
holdings, including fair-value changes, realized digital-asset losses and impairments, highlighting the company’s significant exposure to fluctuations in Avalanche’s token price.
As of June 30, Avalanche Treasury held approximately 15.31 million AVAX valued at nearly $100 million. Its staking operations generated $1.5 million in net revenue during the quarter and $3.6 million in the first half of 2026.
The company said the buyback program is intended to help create shareholder value amid what management views as a disconnect between its stock price and underlying strategy. No share purchases have yet been disclosed.
Avalanche Treasury also received partial relief from Nasdaq after resolving a compliance issue related to the market value of its listed securities. However, a separate minimum bid-price compliance issue remains outstanding.
