Why $1,000?
If $XRP represents the infrastructure and RLUSD represents the value itself, then why does XRP itself need to hold value? Why does the price of XRP need to reach $1,000 or $10,000? Is it because its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) doesn't require pre-funding? If that’s the case—considering a total supply of 100 billion XRP and SWIFT’s daily transaction volume of $5 trillion—would the price of XRP settle at just $50 if it handled all those transactions?
If we assume transaction volumes will double over the next 5–10 years, or that Ripple might withhold half of the XRP supply from the market to artificially create scarcity, could the price rise to $100? I’m not sure how to view this; I’ve been thinking about it for quite a while... What mechanism could drive its value beyond $1,000?
I keep telling myself that if Ethereum can reach $4,000, then Ripple should at least hit $1,000... but they are different, right? Ripple is centralized and institutional... so I don't know... what do you all think?
