Spent the last hour on the DUDE explorer for Dusk#dusk $DUSK @Dusk — and the thing that stopped my scroll wasn't a chart, it was a countdown. Time to next epoch: 3h44m. Rewards aren't some background narrative here, they're literally ticking down block by block.
Pulled up the provisioner board while it counted — 206 active out of 271 registered, staking APR sitting at 22.31%, active stake 215.2M DUSK against 216.9M total staked. Tight ratio, most of what's locked is actually working. But right next to that APR number sits a line I almost skimmed past: Foundation Development Tax, 7.0M DUSK. Not slashing, not burn — a cut baked straight into the reward split that's supposed to read as "usage funds security, security earns yield."
Hmm — did the math wrong on my first pass, assumed that APR was already net of the tax. It isn't, or at least the board doesn't say either way. Not calling it a problem, just... the fee-and-stake loop reads like a clean two-party deal in the docs. Live numbers say there's a third seat at that table before any provisioner sees their share.
Makes me want to track that 7.0M line across a few epochs, see if it scales with usage or just sits flat regardless. Anyone watching that closer than I have?
