Oil prices dropped more than $2 a barrel to a two-week low on Wednesday as renewed talks between Iran and Oman raised hopes that the Strait of Hormuz could reopen.
Brent crude futures fell $2.25, or 2.54%, to $86.33 a barrel by 08:10 GMT, after earlier hitting their lowest level since 13 August. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures declined $2.21, or 2.68%, to $80.15 a barrel, after touching their lowest point since 10 August.$CL $RIVER $ESP
