Last time we had @Dusk as a theme on CreatorPad was January 2026.
I remember then everyone was focused on the privacy + regulation story. But #dusk has evolved into so much more since then.
The story isn’t simply “do we need privacy or transparency?”
It isn’t regulations vs crypto either.
Its more about how inevitable has become to make them work together.
With so much TradFi entering the crypto world lately, I think this path simply has to be explored.
Whats interesting is that $DUSK isn’t solving that with one piece of technology.
It’s building in several directions at once.
There are now two distinct paths for devs: DuskEVM for Solidity/Vyper and familiar Ethereum tooling, and DuskVM for Rust/WASM applications that need Dusk’s native execution, privacy and ZK capbilities.
At the same time, the protocol has been moving forward.
PLONK V2 and V3, Aegis, zk tools and new proof valdation work are making the cryptographic side more sophisticated.
Boreas, versoned transactions and changes to execution and gas accounting are making the protocol itself more mature.
Forge, Dusk Connect and the new wallet are making the developer experience more complete, while the wallet also gives end users an actual way to interact with what is being built.
And there’s another side that need attention: security.
After the bridge incident, Dusk worked through the architecture and added further validation and security hardening. Aegis itself also addressed a substantial set of security findings.
Now,that’s a very different story from the one we were discussing in January.
Dont mistake this for a hype post, because naming the changes dont guarantee succes. The most important part- will all this actual;y work in the real world is still to be seen. No amount of theoretising can answer that. Lot beautiful builts have crumbled in real life and lot unexpected ones suceeded. Will it work?
At the end-that is the most important part of the story isnt it?
