#dusk $DUSK @Dusk I’ve been around crypto long enough to know that “privacy” can sound impressive without actually meaning much. We’ve seen plenty of projects build a strong narrative around it, only to struggle when real users and businesses show up.

That’s why Dusk Network caught my attention for a different reason.

What I find interesting isn’t simply that it’s a privacy-focused Layer-1. It’s the attempt to make confidentiality useful for financial applications. With its Confidential Security Contract approach, the goal is basically to keep sensitive information private while still letting contracts operate under clear, verifiable rules.

To me, that’s a much more practical problem.

But I’m still cautious. Building the infrastructure is one challenge. Getting developers and financial institutions to actually trust it, integrate it, and use it is a completely different battle.

There’s also a real trade-off here. More privacy can be valuable, but financial applications also have compliance and transparency requirements. Finding the right balance won’t be easy.

I’ve seen good technology fail simply because adoption never followed.

So I’m not looking at Dusk and thinking, “this must win.” I’m watching to see whether people actually have a reason to use it.

Because in the end, isn’t real adoption a better test than any crypto narrative?
