Apple was sued on July 28 by three users. After downloading a fraudulent Bitcoin wallet app from the App Store, the three users lost over 1.8 million. The counterfeit app impersonated Sparrow Wallet, although the official Sparrow Bitcoin wallet was never available on iOS. The three users' individual losses were 875,000, 840,000, and 120,000. The plaintiffs claimed that Apple's claim of strict review failed to prevent such fraud.
