In crypto, most people look for opportunity inside a move that hasn't happened yet.
I think sometimes the opportunity disappears long before the move even begins.
Because the faster an idea spreads, the faster its advantage becomes common knowledge.
Eventually, everyone is looking at the same chart, discussing the same narrative, and positioning for the same possibility.
And here's the strange part:
When everyone sees the same thing, seeing it is no longer an edge.
Perhaps real differentiation isn't reaching the same conclusion before everyone else.
It's recognizing what remains mispriced after everyone has reached it.
That's why I'm no longer interested only in asking, “What happens next?”
The more valuable question is:
“Once everyone starts expecting this, what is nobody accounting for yet?”
I believe the most interesting opportunities often aren't hidden inside the answer.
