Dusk picks provisioners for proposal, validation, and ratification through deterministic sortition, so a bigger stake only raises your odds of selection, it doesn't hand you influence directly.
Here's the part I had to reread twice: once selected, a provisioner can hold multiple Credits, and Credits are what actually set voting weight, three Credits outvotes one Credit three to one, inside a committee that's built around a fixed 64 Credits total.
Pulling live numbers made that cap feel tighter than it reads on paper. Over 210 million DUSK is currently staked, DUSK itself is trading near $0.0728, market cap around $36.38 million, daily volume about $5.1 million, circulating supply sitting roughly at 499 million.
Lining those figures up against a fixed 64-Credit ceiling changed the question for me, it stopped being about how the weighting formula works on paper and became about what happens to that formula once nine figures worth of DUSK are competing for the same 64 slots.
The sortition-to-Credit path is clear enough in the docs. What isn't clear is how concentrated those 64 Credits actually get once that much capital is active in the system, and that's the part I still haven't pinned down.
