The one thing that I have observed throughout the process of discovering Dusk Network is the fact that the project seems to be more than marketing hype. It looks like the team is working towards solving the problems associated with bringing finance to the blockchain.
What I am particularly attracted by is RWAs.
There are many benefits that can be derived from tokenization of the real-world assets, but traditional finance requires more than fast transactions. Privacy, compliance and transparency are essential.
And this is where Dusk Network appeals to me.
🔹Privacy: Zero-Knowledge technology allows protecting sensitive information about transactions.
🔹Infrastructure that is suitable for RWAs: Dusk is being developed with the focus on finance use-cases.
🔹DuskEVM: EVM compatibility can allow the developers to benefit from familiar Ethereum-based tools when building on Dusk.
Tokenomics of $DUSK 📊
•Initial Supply: 500M DUSK
•Maximum Supply: 1B DUSK
•New Emissions: 500M DUSK over time to cover the staking rewards.
•Utility: Gas + staking on the Dusk network.
•Minimum Direct Stake: 1,000 DUSK
The initial allocation of 500M was as follows: 50% - Token Sale, 18.1% - Development, 11.8% - Exchange, 7.3% - Marketing, 6.4% - Team and 6.4% - Advisors. Historical vesting has expired in April 2022.
What I find interesting is the fact that DUSK is not a speculative asset in the ecosystem, but rather it has its utility in the form of fees and staking.
The more I learn about Dusk Network, the better I understand why the combination of privacy + RWAs can be valuable.
I would not say that Dusk will definitely succeed because crypto is too unpredictable.
Still, $DUSK is surely one of the projects that I am following. 👀
