Boreas is a good example.
It wasn’t just about adding another shiny feature. The upgrade changed how transactions are handled and interpreted across different parts of the network.
That sounds boring until you think about what happens when different nodes could interpret the same transaction differently.
Consistency matters.
For me, that’s one of the underrated parts of blockchain development: sometimes progress is simply making the network harder to confuse, break, or interpret incorrectly.
That kind of upgrade may not create much hype.
But it can matter a lot underneath the surface.
