Zcash rose more than 70% over the past week and was trading near $844. According to Odaily, the Zcash community plans to hold a token-holder vote around the upcoming NU7 network upgrade, with a minimum participation threshold of 1 million ZEC.
The snapshot is expected at 19:00 UTC on the 24th, corresponding to mainnet block height about 3,459,350. Assets counted in the vote must be spendable, shielded ZEC held in the Ironwood pool at the time of the snapshot.
Voting will begin on August 25 and end at 19:00 UTC on September 14. Wallets supporting the vote include Zodl, Vizor, Zkool, and Keystone hardware wallets. The vote will be conducted privately, and only aggregated results will be released.
