Cross-chain / Bridging side (moving coins and messages between chains) 🌉
🔶 LayerZero: on 18 April 2026, KelpDAO lost about $292M after a 1-of-1 verifier setup (one checker could approve the move). More than $15B left for Chainlink CCIP (Chainlink’s product for moving tokens and messages between chains).
🔷 Axelar: on 10 June 2026 about $4.67M was drained on the Axelar-Secret bridge. A mint bug sat for 7 days. The team said the core Axelar chain was not hit. AXL is about $0.042 vs an old peak near $2.64.
Oracle side (the data feed apps trust for prices) 📡
🟥 Pyth Network shut Express Relay (a fee product meant to capture extra trade value). It was making under $2,000 a month. Two sale votes failed. Its own Pythnet chain is being wound down.
🟧 Chaos Labs: on 10 March 2026 a bad oracle setting on Aave wrongly liquidated about $27M of wstETH (wrapped staked ETH). In April they left the Aave risk job.
If those names hurt themselves, it looks like bullish for $LINK but less competition isn't healthy for the market imo Let's not clap for Chainlink growth just because rivals got hurt. ⚠️
