🐂 Standard Chartered expects Bitcoin to reach $500,000 by 2030

Standard Chartered's head of digital asset research, Jeff Kendrick, believes the crypto market has already bottomed out and is returning to growth.

Key points from the interview:

➤ Kendrick predicts that $BTC could reach $100,000 by the end of 2026

➤ However, he believes this forecast may be too conservative

➤ Standard Chartered's long-term target for Bitcoin remains at $500,000 by 2030

➤ The analyst believes the current situation is reminiscent of March 2023, when $BTC began a new growth phase after the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank

➤ One of the key drivers now is the US Treasury's signal to expand liquidity support

➤ About $4 billion in short positions have been liquidated in recent days—the largest short squeeze in the entire five-year history of CoinGlass data

➤ About $1.5 billion in inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs this week

➤ Kendrick expects a return to the days when ETF inflows exceed $1 billion per week 24 hours

➤ By the end of the year, the market could see either the CLARITY Act or new SEC regulations, paving the way for more active participation by banks and traditional financial institutions.

➤ He cites institutional capital as the main long-term growth driver: investors are still structurally underinvested in bitcoin, and reduced BTC volatility could further boost demand.

According to Standard Chartered, the combination of liquidity, ETF inflows, regulatory clarity, and institutional demand could form the basis for a new Bitcoin growth cycle.
