US natural gas rose for a second day as weekend forecasts turned hotter, pointing to stronger demand for the power-plant fuel as air-conditioning use increases, according to Bloomberg.

The month is on track to surpass 2007 as the hottest population-weighted August on record, according to private forecaster Commodity Weather Group.
