I’ve been looking into Dusk again and honestly... I’m still going back and forth on it.
The privacy angle makes sense to me, especially for finance. Not every transaction should be sitting in public where competitors and random wallets can watch everything. Dusk trying to build around confidential smart contracts and regulated financial use cases feels like a real problem to solve.
But I’m still skeptical.
Crypto has taught me that good technology doesn’t automatically mean users. I’ve seen projects with amazing docs, strong teams and clever infrastructure just sit there waiting for adoption that never really comes.
That’s my main question with Dusk.
Can the network actually attract real financial activity, real assets, real liquidity and real users?
I like the XSC approach because financial assets have rules, and putting those rules into the blockchain itself feels more practical than pretending finance works like normal DeFi. The privacy plus selective disclosure part also feels more realistic to me... you want confidentiality, but sometimes regulators still need access.
Still, I don’t want to get carried away.
A great engine means nothing if the car never leaves the garage.
So I’m watching Dusk, but I’m watching adoption more than announcements. The idea is interesting, the problem is real, but eventually the market needs to prove that people actually care enough to use it.
