The interesting part isn’t necessarily seeing the private information. It’s being able to verify the outcome or the required conditions without exposing everything behind the transaction.
That creates a weird little balance.
Users might want their financial activity hidden. Institutions might want sensitive agreements protected. But the people interacting with the network still need confidence that the contract followed its rules.
I initially looked at transaction visibility as the main metric, then realized I was watching the wrong thing. The important question is what can still be proven when some information disappears from public view.@Dusk

Because if privacy removes visibility but not verifiability, the whole idea starts feeling less like “hiding transactions” and more like changing what everyone needs to see.
