The more I look at Dusk, the more I think its real test is not simply having a live L1 or adding another regulated licence. The interesting question is whether all these pieces can work together in real financial activity.
DuskEVM gives developers a familiar Solidity/EVM environment, while privacy features use zero knowledge proofs and cryptographic commitments to support selective disclosure. Dusk Trade adds another layer by connecting tokenized financial assets with regulated institutions and potential EU capital markets.
At the same time, DUSK has a practical role in the network. It is used for staking and transaction execution, while network activity can create demand through fees and computational costs.
But this is where I remain cautious. Infrastructure, licences and technical design can create a strong foundation, yet they do not automatically create liquidity or recurring usage.
For me, the real signal will be simple: more assets, more users, more transactions and sustained activity. That is when Dusk’s broader thesis starts moving from potential to proof.
