I’ll be honest, @Dusk wasn’t a project I understood immediately.
Last night my friend Tapu told me about the $DUSK rebrand and DuskEVM testnet, and I went back to look at what they’re actually trying to build. That’s when the story started making more sense.
Dusk isn’t really trying to be “another privacy coin.” The interesting part is the target: financial markets, tokenized assets, securities and institutions that need privacy without completely disappearing from the regulatory world.
The rebrand from Dusk Network to simply Dusk feels small, but I think it matters. The bigger question is DuskEVM. If Solidity and familiar Ethereum tooling like Hardhat can lower the barrier for developers, #Dusk suddenly has a much easier route to attract builders who don’t want to learn an entirely new stack.
That said, I’m not ready to call this a breakout story.
An EVM testnet is one thing. Getting serious developers, useful apps, real RWA activity and actual transaction demand is another. Crypto has plenty of chains that looked promising when the tech launched and then struggled to build an economy around it.
What I’m watching now is simple: do developers actually stay, do applications appear, and does real financial activity start moving on Dusk?
If those pieces connect, the narrative gets interesting.
Until then, I’m watching closely — not chasing.
